“I improved the communication strategy for the website of my organization in Benin!” (ICfD Spring 2014)

What I gained throughout UNITAR’s course Innovative Collaboration for Development (ICfD) helped me improve the communication strategy for the website of my organization in Benin, Le Partenariat National de l’Eau du Bénin, which I developed before. Before, I was just using Facebook to share information already available on the regular site, but now you can follow me on Twitter and YouTube as well.

Thanks to Module 5 of the course, I was able to improve my strategy for collecting information to better serve the site with tools such as Pinterest. I subscribed to several RSS feeds, which complement my Google alerts. I must recognize that it is because of the ICfD course that I now know how to create alerts, also thanks to the advice of a former ICfD participant.

I have already started using Google Drive with my own colleagues at work and I assure that all the knowledge I gained in this course will be used wisely as I and another colleague take care of the communication for my organization.

A new communication strategy on social media will be available in the coming days and will be submitted to my organization!

  1. It’s a pity you don’t have a donate button! I’d definitely donate to this excellent blog!
I suppose for now i’ll settle for book-marking and adding your RSS
feed to my Google account. I look forward to new updates and will talk about this blog with my Facebook group.
